Solid timber seating with a sculptural presence.
Traditional joinery, carved forms, a soft burnished surface.
Produced in small runs in New South Wales, Australia.
Post & Rung Chair
A grounded timber chair with a quiet, structural line.
The frame is locked with traditional mortise-and-tenon joinery.
The seat and backrest are carved as solid forms, then brushed, burnished and sealed by hand to a low satin sheen.
Built to carry weight and to settle into the room over time.
Flower Stool
A sculpted hardwood counter stool with a soft petal edge.
The underframe is solid timber, with wedged through-tenon stretchers for rigidity under load.
The seat is carved from a single block and finished by hand to a gentle, irregular sheen rather than a sprayed gloss.
A small sculpture in the room, built for everyday use.
Materials & Method
Recovered Australian hardwoods — sheoak, red gum, blackbutt — worked green, carved by hand, and burnished to a quiet satin sheen.
Each piece is made start to finish in the studio, in small numbers.
