Description
The Flower Stool is the first expression of the Flower Series — a compact sculptural seat shaped around a carved bloom-like form.
Hand-shaped from solid Australian hardwood using axe, adze, scorps, rasps, scrapers, and hand planes, each stool develops through the resistance of the material rather than fixed industrial geometry. The seat is carved slowly into a softened hollow, while the legs are shaped and fitted using traditional chair-making logic and durable timber joinery.
The Flower Stool is small in scale but strong in presence. It can function as seating, an occasional piece, or a standalone object within an interior. Each surface holds evidence of the making process — tool marks, softened transitions, open grain, and subtle irregularities remain visible in the finished work.
Made individually to order. Slight variation in gesture, surface, and proportion is inherent to the process.
