Description
The Post & Rung Bench extends the structural language of the Post & Rung series into a longer, more horizontal form.
Hand-shaped from solid Australian hardwood using traditional tools including axe, adze, chisels, rasps, scrapers, and hand planes, the bench is built around visible posts, rungs, and durable timber joinery. The design is quiet and architectural, allowing proportion, rhythm, and material presence to carry the piece.
The seat is shaped and softened by hand, while the frame provides strength, repetition, and visual clarity. Like the chair and counter stool, the bench remains materially honest: its construction is visible, its surfaces are tactile, and its form is resolved through structure rather than ornament.
The Post & Rung Bench is suited to entry spaces, dining interiors, hospitality settings, galleries, bedrooms, and architectural projects requiring a restrained, adaptable seating form.

Charred gives the bench a dark, quiet surface that sharpens the silhouette and reveals open grain, checks, seams, and hand-shaped transitions. Patina creates a quieter, chalky white that allows the structure of the bench to come forward, while Natural preserves the warmth and visible grain of the hardwood.
